The Tinseltown Theatre opened in December 1995, and cost $20 million to build. It featured stadium seating, a giant screen, and custom sound. This Cinemark was so successful that it forced the nearby Hollywood 8 to become a discount theater. Ultimately, the Tinseltown Theatre was closed in 2018, and a new XD was opened two months later.
